Supporting Your Childcare Costs: Flexible and Accessible Payment Options
At Awesome Childcare, we are committed to ensuring every family has access to our childcare services. To make things easier, we’ve outlined a range of payment options and support schemes to help you manage childcare costs effectively.
1. Childcare Vouchers
Childcare vouchers are a practical and popular way to pay for our services. We’re registered with all major childcare voucher providers, making it easy for you to use vouchers for full or part payments.
- Flexible Payments: Book early, and you can take advantage of our monthly instalment plans to spread the cost.
- How to Pay: Link your childcare voucher account to Awesome Childcare following your provider’s instructions. Please allow up to 7 working days for payments to process, and we recommend sending vouchers at least 7 days before the due date to avoid delays.
2. Tax-Free Childcare
Save up to 20% on childcare costs with the government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme! For every £8 you deposit, the government adds £2, giving you more to spend on your child’s care.
- Eligibility: Most families qualify—check your eligibility here.
- How to Book: Use our name, Ofsted registration number, or postcode, along with your child’s unique Tax-Free Childcare (TFC) number. The TFC number is formatted as the first letter of your child’s first name, the first three letters of their surname, five digits, and “TFC” (e.g., AJOH12345TFC).
- Important Step: Once you’ve registered for the scheme, email us at hello@awesomechildcare.com with your TFC reference number so we can link your payments to your account.
3. Childcare Grants for Students
If you’re a full-time student higher education student, you may be eligible for a childcare grant.
- Benefits You Could Receive:
- Up to £193.62 per week for one child or 85% of childcare costs (whichever is lower).
- Up to £331.95 per week for two or more children or 85% of childcare costs (whichever is lower).
- How to Apply: Contact your university or college’s Student Finance office or the Childcare Grant Payment Service (CCG) at info@ccgpay.co.uk or 0800 488 0961. Find more information and apply here.
- Important Step: Once your grant is approved, let us know immediately at hello@awesomechildcare.com. This allows us to create payment requests for your grant to cover your childcare costs.
4. Universal Credit
Universal Credit can help with living expenses, including childcare costs, for individuals on a low income or transitioning between jobs
- How It Works:
- Book and pay for Awesome Childcare services upfront.
- We’ll provide proof of payment, which you can upload to your Universal Credit account for reimbursement (if eligible).
- Benefits you could receive:
- Up to £1014.63 per month for one child or 85% of childcare costs (whichever is lower).
- Up to £1739.37 per month for two or more children or 85% of childcare costs (whichever is lower).
