Are you looking to begin a rewarding career working with children? We’re excited to welcome a motivated and caring Apprentice to join our nursery team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards your Level 3 qualification in Childcare.

📌 Job Summary

As an Apprentice, you will assist with daily routines, support children’s development, and learn how to deliver high-quality care and play opportunities in a supportive team environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

    • Support the nursery team with daily routines and activities
    • Help plan and prepare fun, stimulating, and safe play experiences
    • Provide a high standard of care and ensure children’s wellbeing
    • Serve refreshments and follow hygiene and safety protocols
    • Participate in child observations and assist with assessments
    • Engage positively with children, staff, and families
    • Learn to follow the EYFS framework and understand child development
    • Assist in creating an inclusive, welcoming environment
    • Understand and follow nursery policies and safeguarding procedures
    • Maintain confidentiality and professional behaviour at all times
    • Attend training sessions and complete all course work within deadlines
    • Keep your personal development plan up to date
    • Contribute to a safe, secure, and positive learning environment

🧩 Person Specification

Essential

    • A strong interest in working with young children
    • Basic understanding of child development
    • Willingness to learn and complete apprenticeship training
    • Literate, numerate, and reliable
    • Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion
    • Good communication skills and a caring, patient nature
    • Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
    • Sound judgement and commitment to safeguarding

Desirable

    • Experience in a play-based or early years setting
    • Familiarity with basic administrative tasks or IT use
    • Paediatric First Aid Certificate
    • Food Hygiene Certificate
    • Safeguarding or child protection training
