Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic childcare professional ready to make a difference in young children’s lives? We are looking for a qualified Early Years Educator (Minimum Level 3) to join our new nursery team in North London.

📌 Job Summary

As an Early Years Educator, you will support the care, learning, and development of children in a safe and stimulating environment. You will deliver engaging play-based learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and our organisation’s values.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality childcare and education in line with the EYFS framework
    • Act as a Key Person for allocated children, supporting their learning and emotional wellbeing
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating activities that support children’s development
    • Observe, assess, and document children’s progress
    • Promote a warm, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all families
    • Support daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, rest, and transitions
    • Maintain hygiene and safety standards, including preparing refreshments
    • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development
    • Support equality, diversity, and inclusive practices in everyday work
    • Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support team goals
    • Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards of professional conduct
    • Attend required training and contribute to staff meetings
    • Keep your personal development plan up to date

🧩 Person Specification

Essential

    • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
    • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
    • Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
    • Experience in a play-based early years setting
    • Good communication and observation skills
    • Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice
    • Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance
    • Paediatric First Aid Certificate (current within 1 year)
    • Safeguarding Certificate (current within 1 year)
    • Punctual, reliable, calm, and patient

Desirable

    • Food Hygiene Certificate
    • Fluency in a second or community language
    • Basic IT skills to support record-keeping
